Ingredients
2shots espresso.
1tablespoonbrown sugar.
1/4teaspooncinnamon.
1tablespoonhoney.
A pinch of salt.
1cupmilkwhole milk works best for texture.
Instructions
Build the flavor base: In a small pitcher or heat-safe cup, add the brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, and pinch of salt. This is your flavor foundation for the latte.
Brew the espresso: Pull two shots of espresso directly over the sugar and spice mixture. The heat helps dissolve everything evenly and starts building aroma right away.
Froth the espresso mixture: Using a handheld frother, whip the espresso mixture until it becomes thick, creamy, and noticeably larger in volume. You are looking for a light, airy texture rather than stiff foam.
Prepare the milk: For an iced version, fill a glass with ice and pour in the milk, leaving some space at the top. For a hot version, gently heat the milk until steaming but not boiling, then pour it into your mug.
Combine and finish: Slowly pour the frothy espresso mixture over the milk. Let it settle naturally. You can give it a gentle stir before drinking.
Notes
You can use whatever type of milk you want! Whole milk will give the best texture, but 2% or fat-free milk will be fine. Or any of the plant-based options, like oat milk or almond milk, will work as well.
